Boer goats - it continues

June 16, 2022

As is often the case in life, the wheels turn much slower in Nepal than here. In May 2021, the idea came up to buy good breeding goats for the village so that the standard of living could be increased a little.

Many discussions have been held in the meantime and many thoughts have been expressed.

The Lions Club Hochwald-Hermeskeil gave us a generous budget. But the good breeding goats also come at a price in Nepal.

Bhumesthan had to honestly say that they couldn't buy the goats they wanted with the budget; they already had a lot of "normal" goats.

But Nepal is very big and there are many poor villages.

Christine Herzog was on her trip through Nepal in spring 2022 with Narayan and a good friend of his in a small village in the Langtang area. The area was badly affected by the earthquake and the people were very poor.

This village would be very grateful for help and could use the milk and a few breeding animals to noticeably increase the standard of living.

Even though it is often quiet on our website; In real life we are always in contact with Nepal and look at how we can improve the simple lives of the people there in such a way that self-help continues to advance.
