I must admit, things have been very quiet at WIR-BEWEGEN for the last four years. During the Covid pandemic, we were able to provide small food packages in Kathmandu. Thanks to our dear friends and loyal donors, we have also managed to enable around 10 children each year to attend high school and graduate with a certificate.
Now our twins are four years old and I have the energy again to take care of my passion project.
The Lions Club Hochwald-Hermeskeil certainly provided the impetus. It made me realize again how much money we have here, and how little money can make a difference in Nepal. That's how I woke up from my "winter hibernation."
A first step will be a visit to Nepal in 2022. This will allow me to check that all the animals have arrived
Grang ( the goat project Of course, I will also make sure to visit Bhumesthan. How often have I thought of "our" village over the years? I've looked at the pictures and talked with Narayan about how the villagers are doing.
Furthermore, I would of course like to visit the school in Fulkharka to get a better understanding of the situation. I want to talk to the children and teachers. I would like to try to find out how many children in the region are unable to complete high school each year because their families lack the financial means…
With this knowledge and all that I have experienced in my heart, I hope to become creative again, find ideas on how we can move WE-MOVING forward; raise more donations, and achieve more in Nepal.
I 'm so excited to finally travel to Nepal again!
